Cultural Activities

Satpura hostel has shown a significant improvemnet in it's culture over the four years of it's life, which is evident from the performance of the hostel in the cultural activities both at the inter hostel and inter college level. We are currently ranking 3rd in the RCA. We have excellence in dance, dramatics, music, quizzing, fine arts, billiards, debating and literature. We were in top three ranks this year in duo dance, t-shirt painting, water coloring, prepared debate, and all the quzzing club events and also great performance in street play, cards and chess. The directors of the gd for rendezvous 2008 were from satpura hostel and people from our hostel also participated and won in music, dramatics, fine arts.

Plans and Innovations
We are planning to have an intra hostel cultural festival, which will help us to find the hidden talent in the hostel and will also give an exposure to those who can not participate at the inter hostel or institute level. We are planning to have some cash prizes for the winners so that people come up. We want to encourage people who hesitate to participate or have lesser talent. We will also organize some workshops to encourage people for participating in cultural activities.

We want to develop such a culture for satpura such that every one understands the importance of culture has interest in one or the other cultural activity as cultural activities are the best and healthiest source of entertainment.
