Hostel Rules for the Students
• On arrival (in the beginning of every semester), the student will report to the caretaker and any other official authorized by warden and will take possession of the room after signing for the inventory.
• At the end of each semester the students (B. Tech and M. Sc I only) will vacate their rooms and handover the room and all the items in the inventory to the caretaker.
• Any student desirous of retaining his room during vacation will seek prior permission of the Dean of students.
• Any act of intimidation or violence, willful damage to the house property and drunken or riotous behavior constitutes an offence.
• Use of narcotics, consumption of alcoholic beverages, smoking and gambling are strictly prohibited. Heavy fine will be imposed for the same.
• Use of audio equipment in the house is acceptable only if it is not objectionable to the neighboring Satpuraties.
• PCs should be registered by the warden or by his nominee before taking inside the house. Gate Pass should be made at time of carrying computer outside of the hostel.
• Whenever any guest comes to visit the house, he has to make entry in the Guest Register available with Guard.
• It is mandatory for a resident to inform the Warden/his nominee about any male guest staying overnight.
• Female family members may be allowed to visit the resident in the visitor’s room in the house from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm only.
• For guests staying up to five days, prior permission should be taken from warden. Permission of Dean of Students is essential for the guest staying more than five days.
• Playing cricket in the wings is strictly prohibited.
• Any extra electrical equipment like air-cooler, heater, and fan is strictly prohibited.
• Viewing adult or objectionable material on PC is strictly prohibited.
• Ragging in any form is not allowed.
• Sleeping in reading room and TV room etc is strictly prohibited.
• You are not allowed to write anything on the walls/doors of the hostel rooms.
• Unconstitutional language is not allowed in the hostel premises.
